Foster Homes Needed for Those Impacted by LA Fires
1.15.25
Visalia, we need your help. Can you become a foster home for Los Angeles animals displaced for the wildfires?
Visalia Animal Services is now accepting applications through Friday, January 17 at 6 p.m. from those who can be foster homes for LA animals.
"The LA fires have displaced many animals, overwhelming shelters that were already full," shares Candace Harringon, Visalia Animal Services Manager. "We're stepping up to help, but we can't do it alone. We’re seeking compassionate fosters to temporarily house animals from the LA area who need a safe place."
With the help of the Best Friends Animal Society, Visalia Animal Services will be providing food and supplies for the fosters housing the animals while the Animal Care Center team find them rescues or help get them adopted.
To become a foster home for LA animals impacted by the wildfires, applicants must be 18 years old or older and submit their foster application by Friday, January 17 at 6 p.m."Together, we can give these animals a second chance. Even if you can’t help with these LA animals in need, we are always looking for local pets who would also love a foster home and encourage anyone interested to contact us at the Animal Care Center to learn more," added Harrington.
