On Thursday, September 12, the Visalia Animal Services Division held a public meeting to share details on Animal Services Operations and receive comment from the public.

Visalia Animal Services Division is part of the City of Visalia's Parks & Recreation Division, and their mission is to promote and ensure public health and safety, facilitate responsible pet ownership, humanely and responsibly care for the animals under Services care, provide prompt and courteous service to customers and provide education and positive enforcement efforts.

To help facilitate in-person community discussion at the September 12 meeting, Visalia Animal Services Shelter Manager Candace Harrington provided a presentation outlining Shelter Services, Hold Periods, Contracts with Other Cities and more.
