We need your input on affordable housing and community development needs!
The City of Visalia is currently seeking input via a quick survey on identifying funding priority goals for the next five year (Fiscal Years 2025/2026 through Fiscal Year 2029/2030) Consolidated Plan
What is the Consolidated Plan?
The Consolidated Plan is a process of the Federal Government, under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and is designed to help states and local jurisdictions to assess their affordable housing and community development needs and market conditions, and to make data-driven, place-based investment decisions.
The consolidated planning process serves as the framework for a community-wide dialogue to identify housing and community development priorities that align and focus funding.
How does this help Visalia?
Feedback from the community is vital to this process, as the survey results help develop the next five year Consolidated plan. Receiving this input allows City staff to align and coordinate community development programs with other plans, programs and resources to achieve greater impact.
Who should take the survey?
Everyone! Community organizations and members of the public are encouraged to participate by completing the survey!
But act fast, it's the final days! The survey will be open through Friday, August 2. Consolidated Plan public hearings and community in-person and virtual meetings will follow.
