"Dump On Us" Saturday, June 22

6.10.24

Load up what you need to recycle and toss and join us for the next "Dump On Us" event on Saturday, June 22.

The City of Visalia's popular clean-up event is for residents to bring their recyclables, green/organic waste and trash. This event is co-sponsored by Caltrans and the Clean California Initiative.

With a start time of 7 a.m., Visalia residents can make their free drop-off through 12 p.m. at the Visalia Corporation Yard at 335 N. Cain Street.

Dump On Us is limited to one visit per one small truck or trailer per event.

Due to the popularity of this event and high demand, the City offers this to Visalia residential solid waste customers only.

Participants will be asked to present a City of Visalia issued utility bill as proof of residency before entering the unloading zone. If no City of Visalia utility bill is available, participants must present a photo ID with a Visalia address.

Participants are asked to remain inside their vehicles, unless they are unloading a large trailer of materials. Large trailers will be asked to unload in a specified area to allow for proper social distancing, large moving vehicles full of mixed waste may be directed to the county landfill.

No commercial waste is accepted at this event and guidelines for dumping do apply. Only four tires without rims per vehicle will be accepted and large appliances must have doors removed.

Give Organics, Get Compost

Residents who dispose of green/organic waste materials are encouraged to take compost with them for free.

The processed compost material was generated from local businesses and residences, and is being made available to Visalia residences that bring green/organic wastes to Dump On Us.

If you are planning to toss out green/organic waste materials at the event and would like to take compost home with you for your projects please plan to bring bags, shovels, etc. to collect your compost while supplies last (limit of one load per event) on the day of the event.
