The City operates and maintains over 50
parks, trails and recreation facilities throughout the city.
Offering everything from playgrounds and barbecues to splash pads and
our Provident Skate Park, we believe parks make life better. Park
admission is free and the parks are open to the public everyday from 5
a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
In order to maintain our parks, we ask
that all rules and ordinances are abided by. The City of
Visalia Parks & Recreation Department does not
allow:
Fireworks of any type
Radio controlled or
non-radio controlled model planes, boats or toys
Hazardous games such
as golf, archery, paintball, air gun, sling shot or hardball
Loud
music or amplified sound over 60 decibels
Overnight parking
and camping
Operation of a vehicle beyond designated parking
areas
Consumption of alcoholic beverages without a permit
Smoking
within 25 feet of playground
Open fires; fires are permitted in park
barbecue grills only
Commercial activities, except by special permit
All pets must be on a leash
